We live amidst a world of sound, always changing and transforming. Sometimes you get a taste of that when you go out into the world with a recorder. I'm Jim Metzner and this is the Pulse of the Planet.Ambience: birds, beesVery few of the sounds of nature exist in isolation. They blend with other sounds. Microphone in hand, you sometimes find yourself in the middle of what feels like it has been orchestrated, a natural mix of sounds that weaves around you. This orchestration was recorded in my backyard near a beehive, with birds joining in a dawn chorus in the trees nearby.
